David knew he wanted to marry Jeriel a few months after they started dating. They’ve been together for 5 years.
So when David was planning his surprise KimYe flower wall marriage proposal to Jeriel at the Mondrian Soho, he reached out to The Heart Bandits to ensure it was flawlessly executed. Then he came up with the idea of creating a fake “35th Annual ‘RAISING THE BAR‘ Dinner” honoring his dad and accompanying PDF. The scheme involved his family and friends, a fake email address, several email exchanges and a well designed awards dinner invitation PDF, all in the name of love and in an effort to keep his proposal plans a complete secret.
A few days before the “35th ANNUAL ‘RAISING THE BAR‘ DINNER,” Jeriel was unsure she wanted to attend the event and asked David if they really had to go to the event. He assured her that it was a really important event.
I love Jeriel’s expression as she realizes what’s really going on.
When Jeriel and David arrived at the Mondrian Soho penthouse, the staff opened the door to reveal the KimYe flower wall that David had been secretly planning for months together The Heart Bandits. Alyssa of Eggsotic Events who executed The Heart Bandits vision and the flower wall said that David was sentimentally meticulous about the color of the flowers and the placement of each of the photos on the aisle runner.
I love a guy who is into the details and David was meticulous about the details. Everything from the color of the flowers, to the 9 love notes to the placement of the photos time line aisle runner was strategically discussed with The Heart Bandits and their team.
Are you absolutely in love with this KimYe flower wall concept created by The Heart Bandits and brought to life by Eggsotic Events and covered with all sorts of white floral beauties and green moss?!? WOW!
The flower wall had 9 love notes specially tucked into the moss. David knew his handwriting wasn’t the best, so he made sure a calligrapher beautifully wrote out every sentence and word he wanted to express to Jeriel.
Here are a few of my favorite love notes.
After reading each of the love notes, David pulled out the final note, “Will you marry me” and dropped onto one knee to propose to Jeriel.
David was showing Jeriel what her last name would look like soon!
Of course every detail was accounted for a sun set right after the proposal creating a brilliant fiery orange color New York skyline.
