Travel
Seeing and experiencing authentic cultural experiences always rejuvenates and reminds me that we are all connected. A smile is the same in any language.
Commercial
Working on a limited number of commercial projects a year allows me to step outside of my comfort zone and see photography from a completely different perspective, which makes me a better photographer.

There is an African proverb my mother used to share with us growing up: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
This quote sums up how and why I make to speak at events during the off season and attend networking events. Being a speaker and educator is a powerful way to give back.
It reminds me that insights from my journey and story can be helpful to others. If I can impact just 1 person with my message, it’s always worth it.
