I stood at the crosswalk in Hong Kong for 2 minutes with my head turned left, looking in one direction.
Something didn’t seem right but I was focused, so sure that a car would come careening from behind the sharp curve. But it never came. Nothing came. No bus, bicycle, car… nothing. It was only when I looked down; right there under my nose was the answer: Look Right. I was so focused that I forgot that cars in Hong Kong are driven on the left side of the road, and I could’ve been hit by a car coming from the right.
This picture reminds me to be more aware and to remain open and flexible. If you’re so focused on expecting your blessing to come from one specific person, place or thing, you may be looking in the wrong direction. The answer might be right underneath your nose.
