On Friday 6/10, I attended the Girls Who Rock concert, a fundraiser event supporting She’s the First, a non-profit dedicated to helping girls in the developing world be the first in their families to graduate. This year the concert supported the Arlington Academy of Hope in Uganda.
Props go out to Christen and Tammy who led the team of volunteers who pulled together this great event. I totally rocked out to Jojo, Nina Sky, Nikki Jean etc. among many other talented female artists and will have to post my rocking pictures soon. Anyway, I digress…
When I was first asked to guest blog for She’s the First, I immediately said yes and was moved because education and empowering underprivileged young girls means so much to me.
