When I first met this beautiful Nigerian couple, the groom very adamantly told me that these lyrics from the song “One Naira” by M.I. featuring Waje perfectly embody their relationship. A naira is the currency of Nigeria.

I definitely felt and experienced their love and positive energy throughout their engagement session. No matter what this Nigerian bride will stand by her man!
Even from the first instant I met them, I quickly noticed and enjoyed how much they fed off each other’s laughter and energy.
A good man knows how to make his woman laugh and this Nigerian groom is no exception, which is why the image above is my favorite.
The groom grew up in Nigeria and moved to the United States a few years ago, and the bride grew up in New York. They met several years ago at a New York lounge and after chatting with them, it wasn’t clear who picked up whom, but they both felt sparks. Years later, he is still making her laugh.
