Eeek, seriously can’t wait to post more photos from this New Jersey “You are Beautiful” portrait session with Joy.
Joy is of Nigerian American descent, works in beauty marketing at Avon, is a new mom to a beautiful baby girl and during her spare time (how does she do it?) manages a beauty blog Delicious in Pink, which won a 2010 Nigerian blog award and offers great beauty tips (did you know milk of magnesia can be used as a toner, primer, acne treatment and pore minimizer, yes please!?).
I love that her mission statement is for every woman is to boldly express and make a statement about who they are through their personal style, which aligns perfectly with my belief in celebrating all of who you are: personally, culturally, and stylistically. Joy exudes bold confidence internally and externally and does so with such kindness and confidence. It was literally pure joy to photograph her!!

The shoot took place on a cold day, but as you can tell, Joy braved the wind and her energy shone through with every shot. I loved that she completedly trusted me to photograph her in very unconventional locations.
