When I met the groomsmen, I was struck by this one tall groomsman who looked and appeared so tough. When he talked about the groom, his voice was deep and resolute.
So at the Washington DC Ghanaian wedding ceremony, when I turned around to look at the bridal party, I saw that he had his head bowed down and he was getting choked up by the bride and groom’s vows. This is one of my favorite images because the moment was so unexpected and yet so moving.
