Thomas & Eleonor got married in 2005. They were so young & went through many rough patches, so Eleanor tattooed the verse: “1 Cor 13” on her ring finger as a reminder to believe in their love.
BUT 4 years later they split…
BUT still stayed in touch.
Thomas always regretted how he proposed to her in their military barracks with a $400 ring which he placed on the wrong finger & hand.
After he returned from being deployed to Kuwait in 2013, he knew Eleanor was still the one & he began planning an elaborate re-proposal. He rented out the entire Soho New York cafe (a tea cafe so popular that they usually have a 2hr wait time) with a gorgeous new ring he’d spent many months researching.
There was a violinist and the entire restaurant was decorated in an Alice in Wonderland theme with pink roses and pink macaroons. I loved photographing this elaborate proposal by The Heart Bandits! Check out Thomas’ advice and responses on re-proposing to Eleonor.
Shout out to my multilingual assistant Ruth who surprised us all by speaking Tagalog, a Filipino language with Eleonor! Mahal Kita!

Thomas also really wanted me to know that, “I love her and always will.”
