I loved photographing Dunni and Yinka’s Nigerian wedding at the Elite Palace New York as a part of Tunji Sarumi Photography‘s team.
I spent the first few hours of the wedding with the bridesmaids in their hotel room eating jollof rice, fufu and goat. What I learned about Dunni is that she has a heart of gold. Yinka and her were friends for a long time. He would always go out of his way for her, but she always saw him as a good friend until… the day she was really sick and Yinka brought over some chicken soup. Nothing like chicken soup to heat things up a bit. From there, their friendship evolved into more than friends.
I loved the sparkly details on Dunni’s first wedding dress.
Meanwhile over in the groom’s hotel room, the guys were chilling watching basketball games.
I totally love it when the groom incorporates lots of wedding details into his and his groomsmen attire including the designer pink bow ties from Mrs. Bowtie, groom’s initials on his shirt cuffs and signature Trump cuff links.
I loved that Dunni and Yinka did a “first look” before the wedding ceremony.
The bridal party had 18 awesome attendants!
Even though the wedding was running a little late, the staff at The Elite Palace were wonderful in accommodating the wedding.
The wedding was decorated in gorgeous pink and gold fit for a queen and king.
Congratulations to Dunni + Yinka and many blessings!
