During the 2013 NYC Bridal Shoot workshop, Abby of Juicy Looks Makeup told me that one of her dreams was to do hair and makeup for a real Indian bride.
You see… in addition to having the gift of masterful makeup artistry, Abby had also been studying Bollywood movies to understand how to properly adorn a tikka (headpiece jewelry) and pin & drape an orni or jeweled scarf (also called a dupatta or chunni). The bride was Indo -Trini – American, where it’s more commonly referred to as an orni.
It was such a joy to capture Abby as her dream came true at the Full Moon Resort in the Catskills, New York! And yes, she killed Nirmala’s makeup!!
