I was scared. Period.
Scared of facing my fears. Scared that I didn’t know anyone else. Scared that I hadn’t prepared. Scared that my dreams were too big and someone would call me out.
I attended Making Things Happen New York 2011 and it set my heart on fire!
MTH is an intensive workshop created by the amazing Lara Casey and designed to take on the challenge of naming and facing your fears, clearing the clutter and dreaming big, REALLY big and then doing the work to make things happen in your life.
I learned so much about myself. I learned that my life is too short to play or love small, to not take bigger risks, to idly wait for the right moment, to not stand up 100% for my dreams with passion and purpose. I faced my fears and afterwards, I realized that they weren’t so scary. I met amazing people and was inspired by their stories, felt love and compassion for these strangers (who at the end) became my friends and supporters. I am not the same! I’m already taking steps to live out my BIG dreams with passion and purpose. I’m preparing to take BIG leaps of faith.
I’m so grateful to Lara Casey, Gina Zeidler and Emily Ley, who led this workshop, opened up their hearts, shared their awesome stories and who encouraged me to dream even BIGGER. The seed has been planted!
My heart is on FIRE!
I so believe in naming your fears and facing them, so I’m sharing a few pages from my journal. I encourage you to take the CHALLENGE! because, “a year from now, you will wish you had started today.” ~Karen Lamb
