There was a time when I wanted to call my photography business “Palpable Love” because some of my best photos are taken when I can sense the palpable chemistry between two people as I photograph them. Elsy and Alvaro were no exception. They definitely had that palpable chemistry and connection with each other.
I met Elsy and Alvaro as part of Ross Oscar Knight’s Building Community Workshop. What struck me the most about this beautiful couple was their palpable commitment to God and to each other. Elsy said she knew Alvaro was the one when she was praying for a sick friend and Alvaro joined her in prayer and as he prayed with her, it was like he was reading her mind.
It was also very evident that Alvaro has a servant heart. Everywhere they went, Alvaro made sure to take care of Elsy. They met when Elsy had just moved into town and was staying at Alvaro’s family home. Alvaro didn’t really know her but before he left for work, he gave Elsy all his contact info and told her if she needed anything, she could call him. So from the beginning, Alvaro was ready to serve and take care of her. Elsy completely trusts Alvaro.
As part of their commitment to God, they made the challenging but beautiful decision not to kiss each other until their wedding day to ensure that their love for each other was grounded in their faith and love of God. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
I did my best to capture this beautiful couple’s stylish, affectionate and committed relationship. Throughout the day, their love for each other was palpable.
