Love is in the details,

and the story behind the detail reveals a deeper meaning and why it was incorporated as part of the wedding.  I love it when I’m talking to a bride, and she enthusiastically describes all the special wedding details like:

  • the embroidered lace buttons on her Rosa Clara dress
  • The traditional material her husband’s family gave her as part of their cultural engagement ceremony
  • The love note her fiancé gave her the 1st time they met
  • A piece of her great grandmother’s wedding dress sewn into her bouquet
  • Red hot Loubotin wedding shoes her fiancé gave her after their first big fight
  • the fragrance she bought just for her wedding day
  • how the florist used the perfect shade of violet to enhance her bridal bouquet
  • the engraved cufflinks she gave her fiancé 2 weeks before their wedding
  • Shoes.  Shoes.  Shoes (if you couldn’t already tell, I love shoes and have been known to give a shoe it’s own mini photo session)

I love photographing these details because they mean so much to the wedding couple.  Here are some of my favorite detail shots.
