Every week since Christmas, it has snowed at least 6+ in, up to 30+inches in some places. The first few snow days, it was fun but months later, it’s just cold and annoying.
I’ve fallen on black ice, skidding on my butt several feet into the middle of the road, sludged through knee deep muddy mush, which initially looked like a little puddle and glided on ice all the way from my home to the train station because it lightly rained the night after a major snowstorm and the roads and walkways all turned into ice. And when it’s super cold, I don’t photograph as much, which is why lately most of my posts have been indoor shots.
This year, I’m hoping the groundhog is right.
If the groundhog sees its shadow and goes back into his burrow, it means winter will last for six more weeks. In 2011, the majority of the groundhogs in my area saw no shadow (which means spring is right around the corner. And I-Can’t-Wait! Soon, summer will be here and I’ll be wearing sandals the beach.
I can only dream…
