Lately, I’ve been challenged to stand up for what I believe in…
at times when I’ve had no tangible proof except a strong gut feeling of the end result. I’m learning that when you have a vision, you will be tested to modify it, take an alternate route or simply settle for what’s in front of you.
For example, when I took this photo as I walked up the stairs inside Gibbs Hill Lighthouse in Bermuda, my friend asked me why I would take a photo of a lightbulb when all around us there were more “interesting” things to photograph. A few years ago, I may have questioned myself and changed my focus to photograph other “interesting” things. To me, the light at the end of the tunnel was interesting and odd because it was a blue light buried deep inside this tunnel-like window.
It reminded me that sometimes when what know in your heart to be true is being challenged, you have to take a leap of faith and trust your instincts.
