In the past month, I’ve gotten a lot of questions centered around, “how do I follow my dreams.”
After talking to friends, sharing links to videos, blogs and articles that helped me, it hit me. The answer came to me while I was in Bermuda earlier this year, which is why the photos below are of a gate near a cliff in Bermuda.
The answer is so simple, yet so challenging for many. Staring down the cliff into the crashing waves, I realized what I’d done to pursue my photography dreams:
I just took the next step.
Deep down you know what it is. It’s never the big grand Create-the-next-Facebook “To Do.” It’s as simple as I’ll send an email to someone I admire, I’ll write 3 goals to accomplish in 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 month, 3 years (I did this & it works!!), I’ll buy a domain name, I’ll book my air travel etc.
Many people dream. Most people never take the next step. Even fewer follow-up. So if all you have to do is take the next step, you’re already ahead of pack and that much closer to your dreams.
Because of my engineering, scientific background, I love and can easily spend days to analyzing, dissecting, researching something to the death, BUT that has never allowed me to move forward with anything. Once I have all the information, it actually can scares me. If I knew all the things I know now about running a business, I’d be too scared to start. The key is take the next tiny step; keep walking, JUMP.
God has you! I promise you’re strong enough to handle whatever comes your way. Stay tuned for more in this “Follow Your Dreams” series.

This is the absolute truth.
Yup! Thanks for stopping by Lenee!
It is simple but not easy. You are right to get to a point you need to have goals
Simi, agreed! More to come on the challenges & joys 🙂
