Because she’s “so inquisitive,” Alberto had 3 different plans in 3 different cities complete with airline tickets and hotel bookings for when and how he would surprise Andrea with a surprise proposal in New York’s Central Park.
AND he documented the entire journey in a journal dated back to November, which included a 4 page letter from her best friend. When he finally proposed, she kept shouting,”no manches” which basically means in Mexican slang: no way.

How did you pick the ring?
At first I wanted a round classic ring, I saw a whole bunch of them, then this princess cut ring came out, I was amazed by it and thought “we are an original couple, we have to have a different ring” even though it is very classic I love the fact that I wasnt looking for it and it came to me.

Of note, Alberto found out that there was an exclusive luxury underground diamond dealer. They didn’t have a name or any contact info. So he searched for their contact information for many months even meeting contacts at bars until he got their number. Talk about persistence!!!
What advice do you have to other guys when planning your proposal?
Really focus on producing the proposal, I know it is more expenses to add but think of it as the one opportunity you get to surprise a girl on the most amazing way. she´ll never forget it.

After we finished up in Central Park, we headed over to Magnolia Bakery for another surprise that Alberto had planned. He woke up at 6am that morning and took a 45min train to this Magnolia Bakery location near Central Park so that he could request a custom cupcake and t-shirt for Andrea. That’s love and dedication!!
Family is so important in Latin culture. I love that Alberto had his family arrive at Magnolia Bakery for the proposal.
