Last night, I broke a few good eating habits.
I had dessert before dinner. I had breakfast for dinner. I ate a heavy meal smothered with all kinds of sugary goodness way past 8pm. Best of all, I indulged my red velvet obsession.
I had red velvet pancakes from Tops Diner in Harrison, NJ. With cream cheese frosting instead of butter, warm syrup and powdered sugar sprinkled on top, the red velvet pancakes left me completely filled up. Didn’t even need an additional dessert.
Although both ginormous pancakes left me in a little bit of a sugar coma; I spent the rest of the night dancing the night away to Rhianna, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry. It was a well deserved, once in a year indulgence.

Hi Petronella, I’m a huge fan of red velvet also. Mr. Cupcakes in Clifton New Jersey is my all time favorite he also has different locations in Oradell & in the Riverside Square Mall recently opened one in Chatham Nj and also CPK has a red velvet cake that is to die for. I love the plate that’s featured in this pic. Is that from the diner if so do you know if they have them for sale?
