I briefly first met Chezelle in New York at a Inspire Smart Success cocktail event and then really got to know her in Dec at ISSE Mexico. Chezelle has a lot of passion, and it shows in everything she does for her clients and in her personality (see her answer to what a client did for her). I also love that one of the charms on her bracelet is a butterfly, so of course I knew we’d be friends.

Story of how she started her business:
I began working in the wedding industry over 10 years ago when my friends started getting married and needed help to plan their weddings. I decided to get certified since it was offered at a college where I worked and a few years later I was asked by the college to teach the wedding certification course. A series of events happened years later that drove me to move back to my island, Puerto Rico and destination weddings just landed on my lap. I absolutely love what I do, and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else.

Best thing a client has done for you:
Besides giving me a great review, the best thing a client has done for me happened just recently. I had a client call me and asked if I could swing by the hotel where she was staying to talk about details of her up coming wedding on my day off. I really wanted to spend the day with my family, but my clients are always my priority especially if they are visiting the island. I met with my clients and they both said, “Thank you Chezelle for being so welcoming and wonderful to us!” and they gave me a Tiffany & Co. box with a gorgeous necklace and pendant. I was so surprised that they would get me a gift before the wedding even took place. It was the most amazing feeling ever, and I really needed the affirmation that I was doing a great job.
