Stephanie is a girl after my heart: she likes Beyonce, grew up in the South so she’s super sweet and has style!
Brandon is a gentleman inside and out. We took the ferry over from Maritime Parc to New York and as soon as we arrived, Brandon took the initiative to run out and start hailing a cab. It was cold and getting dark quickly, and I appreciated that he understood that and took action.
Stephanie and Brandon met 9 years ago at Florida A&M University (FAMU). She was the AKA sorority “head buster” leader and he was #9 Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity brother. They instantly connected and started dating.
When she moved to New York, soon after he followed her and 9 years later, they’re getting married. The light was gorgeous throughout their half day engagement session. With bottles popping, dancing and some tears, Stephanie and Brandon were a delight to photograph and we never had a dull moment.
Shout-out to Christina Leamer and the Maritime Parc owner, chef and staff for all their help! Since the surrounding marina and Liberty park were hard hit by hurricane Sandy, I’m thankful they went out of their way to make this shoot happen for us.
